백남준아트센터 기획전 《웅얼거리고 일렁거리는》의 참여작가 보얀 죠르제프의 이번 전시 출품작인 퍼포먼스 <마르크스주의의 은밀한 매력>에 여러분을 초대합니다.

이 작품은 여섯 코스로 된 만찬의 형식의 토론 퍼포먼스 입니다.

제목은 루이스 브뉴엘 감독의 영화 <부르주아의 은밀한 매력>에서 차용한 것으로, 만찬에 초대받은 여러분들은 호스트 역할의 작가와 함께 계급 간의 갈등과 혁명을 다룬 마르크스주의의 현재적 의미들을 함께 읽고 서로 의견을 나누게 됩니다.

이 작품은 세르비아 출신 무대예술 연출가인 보얀 죠르제프가 시각예술가 시니샤 일리치, 그래픽 디자이너 카타리나 포포비치와 협업하여 제작, 2013년 암스테르담에서 초연한 후 세계 각지에서 공연되어 왔습니다.

Nam June Paik Art Center invites you to the performance The Discreet Charm of Marxism of the Common Front, Affectively by participating artist Bojan Djordjev.

The Discreet Charm of Marxism is a 6-course discussion performance.

The title is borrowed from Luis Buñuel’s film <The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie>.

Hosted by the artist, and the invited audiences read and discuss together Marxist texts on class struggle and revolution and their present-day significances.

Produced by Serbian theater-maker Djordjev in collaboration with graphic designer Popović and visual artist Ilić, this work was premiered in Amsterdam in 2013, and was subsequently staged in Geneva, Belgrade, Berlin, Brussels, Lisbon and Shanghai.
