강서경은 회화, 설치, 영상 등의 다양한 매체를 이용하여 회화의 방법론을 공감각적으로 확장해 나간다. 회화의 여러 조건들은 그의 작업에서 물성, 공간,시간, 서사 등을 조율하며 일종의 시각적 악보를 구성하는데, 그렇게 구축된 운율의 공간 안에서 벌어지는 여러 움직임은 그에게 다음 회화의 방향성을 지시한다. 구상과 추상, 유기적이고 기하학적인형태, 차갑고 따뜻한 질감 등을 오가는 그의 시각 언어는 현대 사회에서 각 개인이 놓인 여러 불균형적 관계 속 모순과 갈등의 공존 방식을 모색한다.

강서경은 이화여자대학교에서 동양화를, 이후 영국 왕립 미술학교에서 회화를 전공하였으며 현재는 서울을 기반으로 활동한다. 발 과 달 (시청각, 서울 2015), 제 8기후대-예술은 무엇을 하는가 (광주비엔날레, 광주 2016), 달은,차고, 이지러진다 (국립현대미술관, 과천관 2016), Group Mobile (빌라바실리프 개관전,파리,2016), 치효치효 (갤러리팩토리, 서울 2013), 그랜드마더타워 (오래된집, 서울 2013) 등의 전시에 참여하였다.

Suki Seokyeong Kang (b. 1977, Seoul, Korea) lives and works in Seoul. Kang uses various media including painting, installation and video to seek a synesthetic expansion of painting methodology. She uses methods of painting to convey materiality, space, temporality and narrative as they form a visual (musical) score. Through movement and rhythm, Kang creates an environment that guides the direction for her painting. Her practice is situated between the abstract and figurative, the organic and geometric. She is interested in creating a visual language of balance and harmony, through which she seeks to portray the structure and order of various conditions that each individual faces in society. 

Recent exhibitions include The 8th Climate, Gwangju Biennale (2016); As the Moon waxes and wanes, National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Gwacheon (2016); Group Mobile, Villa Vassilieff, Paris (2016); Foot and Moon, Audio Visual Pavilion, Seoul (2015) and Grandmother Tower, Old House, Seoul (2013).​
