This ongoing weekly class is open to any level of meditation practitioner, and led by Elana Rosenbaum, MS, LICSW, and a cancer survivor. Ms. Rosenbaum integrates her years of experience as a psychotherapist with her practice of insight meditation to help people live fully and well, whether they are cancer patients or coping with the stress of daily life. She is adjunct faculty at the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Healthcare and Society, taught meditation to cancer patients on the transplant unit in hospitals and outpatient settings, (including the Dana Farber Cancer Institute), and also teaches at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She is founder of Mindful Living and co-founder of Retreats to Renew, providing training and workshops for spas, businesses, healthcare organizations, and educational institutions. Ms. Rosenbaum describes the class at Bancroft School of Massage Therapy as more of a sitting group that is guided by a teacher. Though there is no fee, donations are appreciated.
