Higgins Armory Museum, 100 Barber Avenue, Worcester, MA
This course is an active, hands-on workshop consisting of four two-hour sessions at the Higgins Armory Museum. It is designed to teach the basic safety principles, physical skills, and concepts necessary for the study of historical martial arts; successful completion also qualifies participants to join the Higgins Armory Sword Guild. Students receive a companion study aid developed by the Guild in the form of a CD-ROM containing text, photos, and video. No experience or equipment required. Class open to students age 14 and older. Registration Deadline: August 25.
Cost: $100 for Museum Members, $125 for Non-Members
