The Zula Patrol invades Worcester for the New England premiere of their new space show at the Alden Digital Planetarium. Take a rollercoaster ride across the universe with the lovable, wacky cast of alien characters from the award-winning PBS series, The Zula Patrol, while learning about astronomy and weather. Ride along with the Zula Patrol as they try to save the solar system's weather from interplanetary villain Dark Truder. Encounter the strange and wild weather of planets--including ours. The Zula Patrol award-winning public television series for kids and the related exhibit and dome show were created by Zula USA, LLC.
Cost: $5 plus museum admission; $4 members.

This course teaches basic techniques used in refinishing and restoring furniture of all periods. The materials fee covers the cost of remover, alcohol, lacquer thinner, mineral spirits, rubbing oil, turpentine, linseed oil, transparent finish (varnish, sanding sealer, and shellac), steel wool, sand paper, brushes, and adhesives. Students should expect to purchase some additional supplies. Repairs and/or reconstruction of missing parts will be done outside of class. Both the size and type of piece must be approved by the instructor prior to the beginning of class. All pieces must be taken home at the end of the session. Some materials included.
