Art Students Showcase from the Worcester Public Schools (Fri, May 16)

The Prints and Potter Gallery is pleased to host an exhibition of artworks by talented young Artists from the Worcester Public Schools. Approximately 30 works of art will be displayed representing students from Doherty High, Burncoat High, South High, North High, Claremont Academy and University Park Campus. We urge parents and children to come and view the creative accomplishments of some of Worcester's most outstanding young Artists displayed in a professional Gallery setting Cost: free and Open to the Public Through Wednesday, May 28.

Cornucopia: Recent Acquisitions in Japanese Art
November 24, 2007 - October 2008: Showcasing a variety of objects that celebrate the Museum's steadily growing collection of Japanese art, this exhibition features paintings, a display of lacquer vessels, and a selection of contemporary works of art.

GLASGOW ART FAIR 2008
GLASGOW ART FAIR 2008 takes place from Thursday 27 MARCH UNTIL SUNDAY 30 MARCH 2008. Located within its trademark white tented pavilions which dominate George Square in the heart of Glasgow’s city centre, this eagerly anticipated annual art buying extravaganza offers its 16,500 visitors four days of buying, selling and discovering art. Having firmly established itself as the UK’s most prestigious contemporary art fair outside of London since its inception in 1996, Glasgow Art Fair 2008 will showcase a record 46 selected galleries from Scotland, the rest of the UK, Europe and beyond exhibiting work by over 1000 artists.

Transcending the Literal: Photographs by Ansel Adams from the Collection
March 1, 2008 - August 17, 2008: More than 20 years after his death, Ansel Adams (1902–1984) remains one of the world’s most beloved and widely exhibited American photographers. Comprised of more than 40 photographs selected from the Museum’s extensive holdings of the artist’s work, this exhibition focuses on Adams’s less-familiar landscape images in order to demonstrate his innate understanding of graphic form and balanced design.
