GLASGOW ART FAIR 2008
GLASGOW ART FAIR 2008 takes place from Thursday 27 MARCH UNTIL SUNDAY 30 MARCH 2008. Located within its trademark white tented pavilions which dominate George Square in the heart of Glasgow’s city centre, this eagerly anticipated annual art buying extravaganza offers its 16,500 visitors four days of buying, selling and discovering art. Having firmly established itself as the UK’s most prestigious contemporary art fair outside of London since its inception in 1996, Glasgow Art Fair 2008 will showcase a record 46 selected galleries from Scotland, the rest of the UK, Europe and beyond exhibiting work by over 1000 artists.

Mass Audubons friendly annual birding competition raises money to support its work to protect the nature of Massachusetts. Teams race to see who can count the most bird species within a 24-hour period, and the pledges they collect fund our educational programs at our sanctuaries and within the community. Friday 6:00 pm - Saturday 6:00 pm is the official period for the team competition, but you can join in and/or make a financial pledge at any time. All ages and levels of experience are welcome. Public Art Underway in London's Chinatown to Honor its' East Asian Population
The artist submission deadline has ended and the deciding process begins to create a permanent eye-catching three-dimensional artwork in any medium that is suitable to withstand the elements. The work will be sited above ground level on the side of a building, where Wardour Street meets Shaftesbury Avenue and should therefore be no larger than 1.5m wide by 4m high and 1m deep, and weigh no more than 600kg.
