Have some low tech fun in a high tech world. If you are a beginner or haven't picked up needles for a while, join us to get energized about knitting. Learn to knit and purl, the two basic stitches from which all patterns are designed. The class will cover casting-on, increasing, decreasing, gauge and some pattern reading. You will also gain confidence in fixing mistakes. The class project will be a colorful Guatemalan folk bag which we will start at our second meeting. Please bring a notebook, some light colored knitting worsted to practice with and size 6 to 8, ten inch knitting needles to the first class and come prepared to knit, knit, knit. Limited to 10 students.
