Decoupage is a collage technique that you can use to decorate your home with personal style and flair. In this class you will learn traditional techniques and more sophisticated approaches to design and composition. Decoupage with faux painting techniques can be done on furniture, lampshades, boxes, trays and many other objects. Beginners are welcome, and past students are invited to work on new projects and learn more advanced techniques. Several projects will be completed. Students should bring a favorite magazine to class. No prior experience necessary!

Worcester Center for Crafts, Handbuilding Studio, 25 Sagamore Road, Worcester, MA
This new class gives beginners the experience of working in two different studios at the Worcester Center for Crafts. The first 4 weeks will take place in the clay studio where students will learn techniques such as carving and stamping to create texture as well as slip and glaze application. The remaining 6 weeks will take place in the metals studio where students will embellish their ceramic pieces with metal. Metalsmithing skills such as sawing, soldering bezel setting and finishing will be presented to complete a ring and/or pendant. Material Fee covers cost of metal.
