In this new class bridging the ceramics and glass studios, spend 6 weeks creating a sculpture in solid cast glass. In the first several weeks, work in our ceramics studio designing and creating your sculptural model in clay. Next work in our glass studio to create a plaster/silica mold from your sculpted form. After filling the cavity of your mold with cold glass you'll place it in a kiln to be fired at 1600 degrees, allowing the glass to take form. Spend the last class in our cold shop grinding and refining your sculpture. All levels welcome, no experience necessary.
