Explore the art of wax resist using soy wax, an environmentally friendly material that cleans up easily and does not emit fearful fumes! We'll dye fabrics then experiment with brushes, tjanting tools and tjaps (simple metal stamps from Indonesia) to create beautiful patterns on cloth.

Choose to take this class one or two days a week!
From whistles to pots, this exciting kid's class will have students pursuing a wide range of projects in clay. Each day will explore a new topic from; animal pots, sculpted-rattles, self-portraits and more, as your child learns the many fun ways to work with clay. Kids will have multiple opportunities to try out the potter's wheel. Open to ages from 8 to 16, with options for one or two day per/week sessions. Open to all levels.

Flameworking is the process of shaping glass rods and tubes into small objects over the flame of a torch. Students begin by making beads, pendants, and marbles to establish a foundation of technique. As the class progresses, projects will advance to include the creation of solid sculpture and hollow forms such as flowers, holiday ornaments, and perfume bottles. Small class size and one-on-one instruction allows students to work at their own pace.
