Mass Audubons friendly annual birding competition raises money to support its work to protect the nature of Massachusetts. Teams race to see who can count the most bird species within a 24-hour period, and the pledges they collect fund our educational programs at our sanctuaries and within the community.
Friday 6:00 pm - Saturday 6:00 pm is the official period for the team competition, but you can join in and/or make a financial pledge at any time. All ages and levels of experience are welcome. Whether you are a novice or an expert or just looking for something fun to do, there are lots of ways to get involved, learn about our local winged friends, and support a worthy cause!

Many modern day "weeds" were once gathered for their high nutritional value and distinctive flavors. Learn how to collect and prepare common weeds and create some tasty springtime concoctions, such as dandelion fritters, fiddlehead dip, and velvet cake with violet honey syrup. This on-going cooking series will utilize heirloom vegetables and herbs grown in our own Farmhouse Vegetable Garden when in season.
